Sonahri Humanitarian Development Society, a non-government, not-for-profit socio economic development organization, started its development journey from a small initiative, launched in concerned about sustainable economic and livelihood and social deprivation in rural Sindh and propelled by its own vision of sustainable, equitable and justice society. It was registered under Society Act 1860 in 2011.
Development and Capacity Enhancement of the nation through introduction of Education, Health, Vocational trainings, awareness of community, mobilization of youth and social change where they access to the basic amenities of life based on justice.

Sonahri’s mission is coordinate the energies of qualified, young, energetic, motivated professionals for improvement
in the quality of life, and uplift of marginalized communities of through means of sustainable development
and to work with poor peoples, save their lives from disasters, to mobilize them to help themselves
and advocacy for their rights and to eradicate the poverty and injustices.

Information dissemination is one aspect of awareness rising among the civil society and organizations. Sonahri has published more than 40 booklets, pamphlets and flyers for information dissemination.
The organization has in all around 20 well qualified, experienced and motivated staff is working in different sectors and sub sectors and hundreds of community volunteers are engaged with Sonahri in different programs
The organization’s accounts are audited on yearly basis by the independent chartered accountant
The head office of the organization is based at Thatta, district Thatta, 80 km away from Hyderabad and 70 km from Karachi. The liaison office is in Thatta. Further, One (01) field office is located at Mirpur Bathoro, district Sajawal. The organization has around 20 well qualified, experienced and motivated staffs and hundreds of community volunteers that are working in different sectors and sub sectors. (Managements, Executive, Engineer, Field Experts, teachers and other support staff)
Sonahri is an indigenous, intermediary non-profitable, nongovernmental organization (NGO) working in different development fields for the up-lifting rural people since 2010. Sonahri got registered in 2011 under Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860.
The organization has a general body comprising of more than 30 members comprising of activists and social workers. The General Body elects 07 members as Board of Governors every second year. The Board meets once every quarter to review progress and direct next quarter’s work. The present Chairman of the Board is Adeel Baloch. The Board has appointed Mr. Inayat Ali as the (CEO) Executive Director of Sonhari.
SHDS is a non-Government and Non-profit organization. The organization is working in different spheres of life like Education, Natural Resource Management, Livelihoods, Women Empowerment, and Advocacy for social issues/human rights, food Security and Social Mobilization, Emergency Response etc.
