Quality Health is essential component of Sonahri overall development programs with key focus on Mother, Newborn and Child Health. Sonahri follows holistic approach i-e capacity building of Health Care Providers , contributes in Health System Strengthening , up gradation and refurbishment of health facilities, behavioral change of children & parents to adopt best health practices in order to improve their health status. Besides, Sonahri mobilize community in order to promotes the idea of community ownership of health facilities for quality assurance and sustainability through its Partnership Defined Quality Initiatives Approach.

Key Features and achievements of Health Program

Sonahri has been signed MoU with Population Welfare Department of Sindh for three years July 2017 to June 2020 through public private partnership. Under international commitment made by Pakistan at FP 2020 summit at London in 2012,Sindh became the first province to prepare a requisite document on Costed Implementation Plan (CIP) on family planning. The CIP has set targets of 45% of contraceptive Rate CPR by the year 2020 from 30% existing in 2015. The Costed Impementation Plan (CIP) of Govt of Sindh- a multi sectoral initiative is initially being implemented in 10 districts of Sindh. The selection of NGOs was made by awareness activities. Sonahri was selected for 18 Union Council's of District Sujawal. Sonahri has been engaging youth and male community to increasing knowledge of and meeting demands for family planning services by focusing on MWRA. Sonahri has selected 18 Sukhi Ghar Counselors for one counselor were selected from each union council those who are responsible to conducted community broad base meeting/ awareness Seminars. Sukhi Ghar Counselors are also responsible for 5 hour a day in would be in field for counseling of poor communities and youth regarding birth spacing and its benefits and importance how could be change their whole family physically, socially and economically. At the end of project the Sonahri will be capacitated 25000 male and youth population of 18 union council of district Sujawal on family planning and appropriate usage of contraceptive methods through regular community meetings, Sukhi Ghar broad based meetings and interpersonal communication, approximately four thousand peoples of

Key Features and achievements of Education Program

Sonahri has build capacity of 40 teachers on Child Friendly Teaching Methodologies in 15 government primary schools. Similarly, School Management Committees’ were capacitated in these schools to contribute in transforming these schools into child friendly schools.

Under different literacy initiatives in Sujawal, Sonahri established centers to provide functional literacy and life skills to 100 working children and Families. In addition, Sonahri provided non-formal primary education to 300 working children girls, 10 female teachers located in 10 villages of Sujawal District.

Sonahri has developed various accelerated and multi-grade modules in local languages to support students and communities.

In 2012, Sonahri functionalize 2010 super flood affected two primary schools with the collaboration of BAITULMAAL in two talukas of Jati and Sujawal of district Sujawal.
